Measure the difficult places
Provide the item dimensions, stairs, landing size and the tightest doorway. Photographs of the route help a provider decide whether a site assessment is needed. A piano, stone table or safe can need specialist equipment and handling.
Tell the provider about building rules, lift reservations and parking restrictions. Confirm who secures approval and how floors, walls and railings will be protected.
Separate the connections
Appliances and fixed equipment need appropriate isolation before they move. Gas, fixed wiring and refrigerant work belong with qualified providers. Ask whether disconnecting, capping, draining and disposal are included in one quotation.
Do not move equipment that may still be connected or disturb unstable structures to make access easier. A removal enquiry is a planning step, not emergency dispatch.
Confirm the handoff
Agree the collection window directly, the approved item list and the final condition. Keep access instructions limited to what the provider needs; do not submit entry codes through a public form.
Make the plan practical.
Use the project planner to organize your own details, then choose the scopes that fit. HAUSE reviews enquiries; availability, qualifications, fees and terms are confirmed individually.
Use the plannerAuthoritative starting points
For older materials, read Health Canada’s asbestos guidance. For connected equipment, use the actual manufacturer’s installation and care manuals and confirm requirements with the responsible local authority and qualified provider.
